7/12/2015 0 Comments Amarnaath - Final journeySaloni came over that day with the kids for a small kids session when she suggested that I go for the yatra. The calling was great and in that instance my only question was how much would it cost and I was in. Mini the tidal wave took over after. Usually I like to plan and organise everything but this was probably the only instance when I let go and let someone else lead the way. Of course no doubt about it that it turned out to be an amazingly organised trip. I have never have too many girl friends growing up so I usually get pretty overwhelmed these days with this overt presence of the Goddess in my life. Not that I am complaining I will make that choice again and again but Her grace is a recent phenomenon. Thus my reservation up front, I don't know how to forge these relationships, sorry for seeming unapproachable. As you can tell I have no such problem with men J who I hung out with all my growing up years !! As always every pilgrimage that I have undertaken has been a seemingly impossible feat accomplished and appreciated only in retrospect. This one was no different!! I shared in my group where is the darshan of lord Shiva if you don't bare witness to destruction and death. We saw both and traversed through it. So the yatra was totally accomplished. For those who see the ling and don't see these hardships its not the same. They only see the benevolent, compassionate and beautiful side of Shiva but we saw both. We had the darshan of his fierce form and his compassionate form together. True darshan of Amarnath ji!! Usually all shrines are atop hills and mountains, this is reflective of the inner journey of every human being making an effort and raising their consciousness to their full potential which is called self realisation. But this journey to Shiv or the complete realisation can only be accomplished through Shakti. Against all odds we were able to go to Kheer Bhawani, on Ashtami and invite her to journey with us and she did. We are very fortunate Shakti walked with us through the trip. So I had to go to the Devi temples and thank her for her compassion and companionship in more ways than one. We saw Ganapati the remover of obstacles in the armed men who helped us across the mud slide, the ones who let us board the helicopter first, who carried our bags, who carried our load. All of that was the darshan of Ganesh ji the Vighna Harta the Mangal Karta. So all of us were blessed by the Gods through the journey not only at the Shrine where they are embodied in symbology!! I have to thank you all for bearing with me constantly venturing out to the temples and constantly praying. You couldn’t listen to music through the long rides instead were subjected the stupid drone of me chanting away. I was very lucky to share the room with Saloni all the three nights for more than one reason. Firstly no one else got her infection whatever it was J, secondly I got a chance to talk to her. This journey has cleansed everyone a lot but for her the transformation was tangible and I hope she is feeling better to have emerged from the cocoon as a butterfly. Also I was assured you all will take care of all the needs for prasaad and all the very first night, my first reaction was I don’t usually buy anything for the temples but I was very glad to have you all around looking after that because thanks to that I have something to share with others to help them partake in the journey. We do live in a material world that cannot be ignored. In our tradition we always make something tamsic (malefic) a part of our holiest of rituals only then anything be complete. Musicians will tell you good music is alternating good and not so good sounds in a fashion that the audience will constantly be exposed to waves of bliss. You may not know of much else but remember the movie Devdas when Aishwarya Rai comes to Madhuri Dikshit for a hand full of earth from her home. In our food as well the use of heeng is symbolic of nasty smelling enhancing the taste of food. For us that was Zahoor, his presence added the Tamas that completed our journey beautifully. I cant imagine doing that much to send someone to Haj honestly. He not only came with us to the helipad but went back in those circumstances crossing that mud slide 4 times to make sure we were ok. Ofcourse he had to come to pick me up yesterday otherwise my puja would not have been complete, like I said heeng is needed in small doses to make good dal. I dont know what is his reputation and I dont know what his motivation was but what he did is unimaginable for me. I dont think I can say all this and not mention Mini and her mothering without smothering. It was a very amazing experience and I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to be on the receiving end of it. Ofcourse I always feel after every experience there should have been a lot more pictures. But between Kiran and Roopali I think we got that one covered very well. Thanks for making this memorable journey recallable. Shweta, we were destined to meet so we have met. Its a higher calling for me and you to work together so this is not the last of you that I am seeing. Thank you all of you and ofcourse God Bless !!
